When the owner of the Auchenshoogle Estate, deep in the heart of the highlands of Scotland, dies the property passes to Nigel Cholmondley-Beauchamp, a snooty, arrogant English businessman who takes an instant dislike to the property. No sooner does he arrive at his new country estate but he cancels the traditional Burns Night supper, instantly antagonising the staff.
